Great Food, Great Cause!

Alpine Achievers Initiative and The Village Pub, Pizza & Spirits are teaming up to raise money to support the youth of Saguache and beyond! During the months of September and October, you will have the option to add $1, $5 or $10 to your check to donate to Alpine Achievers Initiative (AAI). Great food for a great cause is what we’re about this month!

Saguache is home to the Village Pub and is where AAI originated. AAI began at Mountain Valley School by a then-math teacher as an informal program to provide much needed mentorship and childcare to the youth. Since then, it has gained non-profit status and has grown to support over 19 schools and organizations across Southern Colorado, utilizing a small staff of 5, 23 AmeriCorps members, and volunteers.

The Village Pub, Pizza & Spirits, owned and run by Amber and Joel Johnson, is a local staple. But she doesn’t just serve up great food! Amber is the Special Education Director at Mountain Valley School and Joel is the football coach. It is important to them, living and being apart of Saguache in many ways, that they give back to organizations that are benefitting community members. Your donations will assist in these efforts to help youth of Saguache and beyond (and there is AMAZING food involved!)

Known for their creative hand-tossed pizzas, lunch subs, and spectacular Cobblestone Cheesecakes, The Village Pub is ready to serve! Great food doesn’t cover it! The Village Pub is open every Thursday – Sunday from 11am to 10pm. Mention Alpine Achievers Initiative during your meal in order to donate to the organization! Happy eats!
