New Program for SLV Homeschool Families

This Fall, AAI is piloting a new program as a partnership with the Mountain Valley School District that offers free weekly programs to homeschool families all across the San Luis Valley. The program is offered to students in grade Kindergarten through 12th grade and gives students the opportunity to pick what programs they would like to attend throughout the course of the year.

So far, students of homeschool families have been able to visit Brown’s Canyon National Monument, attend arts classes, and receive farm education at the Rio Grande Farm Park. We are also bringing in outside facilitators to teach classes such as photography, cooking, and rock climbing.

The deadline for families to enroll for the year is October 3rd. Classes will continue throughout the school year until May.
