Starting this August, Alpine Achievers Initiative will be offering two online anti-racist trainings for community members to learn how to combat racism in their work and everyday lives. In collaboration with Adrian H. Molina and Jamie Morgan, the trainings offered are How To Raise an Anti-Racist Kid and Anti-Racist Leadership in Practice. We are looking to parents and leaders in the community to take this step in working towards equal treatment for all in the San Luis Valley and the world. Below you will find more information regarding each workshop.

This is an introductory presentation designed to BEGIN the conversation: How do we raise non-racist children in a nation that was built upon racism? How do we have honest conversations with our children that are age-appropriate and developmentally relevant? How do we go beyond conversation, and re-pattern our families around anti-racist action? We will propose specific strategies, practices and activities for engaging children in conversations around race. Most importantly, we will share age-appropriate resources that will help you develop an action plan specific to your unique racial identity, culture, experience, and positionality.
