January 2026 Positions (2 available)
We’re currently seeking two AmeriCorps Members to begin service in January 2026 as part of our Alpine Achievers Initiative cohort. These placements are site-specific and focus on youth engagement through recreation and enrichment programming:
- Boys and Girls Club of the San Luis Valley (Alamosa, CO) – Facilitate creative after-school and out-of-school programs for youth of all ages.
- Creede Recreation Center (Creede, CO) – Support recreation-based youth programming in a tight-knit mountain community.

August 2026 Positions
AAI is also recruiting for our August 2026 cohort, with placements across schools, after-school programs, and youth-serving organizations in the San Luis Valley and Chaffee County. These positions are general placement roles — site assignments are finalized closer to the start of service based on program needs and member strengths.

In order to be considered for the program, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Be at least 20 years of age at the start of the program (age waiver required for individuals younger than 20)
- Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. National, or legal permanent resident alien of the United States
- Have a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Be able to pass federal, state, and National Sex Offender background checks
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Live in AAI-provided housing, which does not accommodate other family members, friends, or pets
- A reliable vehicle, car insurance, and a driver’s license strongly recommended
