Backyard to Backcountry (B2B)

B2B Alpine Adventurers offers a transformative 10-month program tailored for youths aged 12 to 15 within the San Luis Valley. By fostering connections among peers and supportive adults, the program aims to cultivate enduring relationships and a profound sense of belonging in natural environments. The program’s significance lies in providing access to a spectrum of outdoor adventures, environmental conservation initiatives, educational opportunities, cultural experiences, social interactions, and ongoing mentorship. Divided into 6-week Blocks, each section concludes with an outing, organized and carried out by the youth themselves, nurturing a feeling of ownership and accountability. Through their involvement, youth not only gain crucial skills relevant to their journey into high school and beyond but also establish meaningful bonds with individuals they might not have otherwise met.
