Berkeley Wall and YMHC

Today we’re highlighting a second-year member and a second-year program for AAI: Berkeley Wall and the Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC). Berkeley joined AAI in summer 2024 to serve at Ortega Middle School and enrolled in Colorado’s pilot year for the Youth Mental Health Corps (YMHC), a collaborative initiative that supports youth mental health in schools and communities. Berkeley participated in training to gain skills and experience to better serve and support vulnerable youth in Alamosa.

AAI is very proud of Berkeley and so happy she decided to join us for a second year! Click here YMHC Articles PDF to read about challenges the YMHC has faced amid budget cuts this year, why it’s so important in rural Colorado, and a little about Berkeley’s work at Ortega!
