My child is enrolled in a homeschool program/curriculum, can they be enrolled in V2V?
What is the difference between enrolling and dropping in?
When you enroll your child in V2V programming, their cost for the year is covered by the funding we receive from Mountain Valley School District. This includes: snacks, transportation, field trips, facilitators, supplies, etc. Enrollees must enroll in 90 hours of programming and must complete 65% of their hours.
When your student is a drop-in, we receive no funding from the school district for them. That is why we ask for a $250 (per child per semester) drop-in fee. Drop-ins are not required to enroll in 90 hours of programming nor attend a certain amount. Drop-in families are still required to communicate their attendance to the Program Coordinator.
How much does my enrollee need to attend?
What happens if my enrollee doesn't attend 90 hours?
What if we go on vacation for a month?
Five hours is a long day for my kid. Do they need to come the whole day in order to earn their hours?
How is the day structured?
What information does AAI share about enrollees with the school district?
What is count day?
Each year all public school districts and facilities across the state of Colorado participate in the Student October Count data submission to the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).The Student October Count is based on a one (1) day membership count in which districts are asked to report all students who are actively enrolled and attending classes through their district on that date.
Does AAI provide transportation?
Can parents come to programs?
Can I bring my younger kids to programs?
Can I come on the field trips?
Can we join the program after count day?
Yes, you can! However, you cannot enroll until the following school year. If you are joining with at least 10 weeks left in the semester, you will need to pay the $250 drop-in fee for your child. If not, you will be asked to pay for programs that have an upfront cost.
If you are financially unable to pay, please do not hesitate to contact the Program Manager to discuss options.
