Opening Doors for Families
Puertas Abiertas, a program of Alpine Achievers Initiative, “opens doors” by supporting both non-English and English speakers to access and successfully navigate local resources.
Services We Provide
Puertas Abiertas provides comprehensive case management to increase stability and long-term self-sufficiency for families.
This program focuses on key indicators for stability:
- Housing
- Employment
- Basic needs
- Adult education
- Health care
- Access to legal services
Culturally Responsive Support
Through culturally responsive, trauma-informed and language-accessible services, Puertas Abiertas provides individualized case navigation, advocacy, and referrals that reduce systemic barriers and empower families to make informed decisions for themselves and their children.
The Growing Little Roots Collective
The Growing Little Roots Collective is an initiative of the Puertas Abiertas program which connects community sponsors with children under age five who need steady support with essentials like formula, diapers and wipes. Benefactors commit to sponsoring a child for $100/month throughout the year to help strengthen the early “roots” that support childhood stability.
